When possible, I like to submit really tight roughs so the client knows exactly what to expect and there aren't any last-minute surprises. As you can see, the sketch was approved with only minimal changes needed, so I was able to put more energy into the inks and colors. I was a bit nervous about that monochromatic background, but decided to go for it.
